1.COOKIES AND THEIR CLASSIFICATION
1.1. Cookie
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are sent from the website visited by the user to the user’s device (usually to the browser), where they are stored so that they can recognize that device on the next visit. On each subsequent visit, in fact, cookies are resent from the user’s device back to the site.
Each cookie generally contains: the name of the server from which the cookie was sent; the expiration date; and a value, usually a unique number randomly generated by your computer. The website server that transfers the cookie uses this number to recognize you when you return to a site or navigate from one page to another.
Cookies can be installed not only by the same operator of the site you visit(first-party cookies), but also by a different site that installs cookies through the first site(third-party cookies) and is able to recognize them. This happens because on the visited site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the visited site.
Based on purpose, cookies are distinguished into. technical cookies and in statistical/profiling cookies.
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of“carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service“(see Art. 122, para. 1, of the Privacy Code). In particular, such cookies are usually used to enable efficient navigation between pages, store user preferences (language, country, etc.), perform computer authentication, manage shopping carts or enable online purchases, etc.. Some of these cookies (called essential or strictly necessary) enable functions without which certain operations would not be possible. Pursuant to the aforementioned Art. 122, para. 1 of the Privacy Code, the use of technical cookies does not require users’ consent.
Technical cookies are assimilated to the cookies cd. analytics if used directly by the website operator to collect aggregate information about the number of users and how they visit the site. These cookies allow website owners and/or operators to understand how users interact with the content of the site for the purpose of optimizing the site.
I profiling cookies serve, on the other hand, to track the user’s browsing, analyze his behavior for marketing purposes and create profiles on his tastes, habits, choices, etc., so as to transmit targeted advertising messages in relation to the user’s interests and in line with the preferences expressed by the user when browsing online. These cookies can only be installed on the user’s terminal if the user has given his or her consent in the simplified manner indicated in the Provision.
Based on their duration, cookies are distinguished into. persistent, which remain stored, until they expire, on the user’s device, subject to removal by the user, and session cookies, which are not stored persistently on the user’s device and vanish when the browser is closed.
What cookies are used by this site?

It should be noted in any case that users can manage their preferences on online behavioral advertising (so-called “online behavioral advertising”) via the www.youronlinechoices.com/it, where major behavioral advertising providers are listed. Through that site, users can disable or enable all companies or alternatively adjust their preferences individually for each company.
How do you disable/change cookies?
To change preferences already expressed about cookies, there is a special link on the site to the control panel located in the margin of the pages or in the footer (lower part) of the site.
By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can change this default configuration through your browser settings. However, disabling/blocking cookies or deleting them may preclude optimal use of some areas of the site, prevent the use of some services, and make browsing slower.
The configuration of cookie management depends on the browser used. Usually, cookie configuration is done from the “Preferences”, “Tools” or “Options” menu.
